Wine production volumes increase in Armenia in January-July 2017
According to the data released by Armenia’s National Statistical Service (NSS), in January-July of 2017, 4 398.5 thousand liters of wine was produced in Armenia, which indicates 32.7% increase to compare with the same period of the previous year. To note, in January-July of 2016, 3 314.1 thousand liters of wine was produced in the republic.
As the data shows, the production volumes of champagne-wines rose by 26.2%, amounting to 274.8 thousand liters.
As the NSS reports, in January-July of the current year, 822.6 thousand liters of whiskey was produced in Armenia, decreasing by 7.6 % compared to the same period of 2016.
The beer production volumes also increased in the mentioned period. In January-July 12 730.0 thousand liters of beer was produced in the republic, thus increasing by 12.5%.
The NSS data shows that vodka and vodka liqueur totaling to 2 994.5 thousand liters was produced in Armenia in the first seven months of 2017, decreasing by 37.2% to compare with the same period of the previous year.
