Armenian citizen wounded in Egypt beach resort stabbing returns to Yerevan
The Armenian woman who was wounded in a knife attack at an Egyptian Red Sea resort in Hurghada on July 14 has returned to Armenia, a spokesman for Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
“The Armenian citizen who was injured in Hurghada has returned to Armenia to continue treatment,” Tigran Balayan wrote on Twitter.
To remind, a 28-year-old Egyptian man stabbed two German tourists to death and wounded four others from Armenia, Russia and Czech Republic at a seafront hotel in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Hurghada on July 14. The security measures have been tightened in Hurghada following the incident.
The assailant was neutralized due to the help of the injured Armenian woman.
