EU Ambassador: Preparations for signing Armenia-EU agreement proceeding according to plan
The preparatory works for signing the Armenia-EU new agreement are proceeding normally, the Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Świtalski told a news conference, after returning from Brussels early Wednesday.
“Based on all my conversations, I can say that everything is proceeding according to the plan. People [in Brussels] are working very hard for the agreement to be signed in November,” the EU envoy said. “On the EU side, we are preparing everything necessary so that the document can be signed at the Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels.”
The EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) is designed to strengthen political dialogue between the EU and Armenia and set a solid basis for the continuation of economic and social reforms.
