New film about love story of Armenian woman and Turkish man to hit the big screen in Turkey on Sept. 8
A new Turkish film about a love affair between a young Turkish man and an Armenian woman will hit the big screen in Turkey on 8 September, Ermenihaber.am reports, citing Gerçek gündem Turkish media outlet.
The film titled ‘Unfinished’ tells about the love story between Iskuhi, an Armenian girl studying in Istanbul, and a Turkish young man, Mert. Iskuhi’s brother, Aram and Mert’s family oppose to their relationship.
The ‘Unfinished’ stars Iskui Baldzhian, Anıl Altan and Ali Buhara Mete (playing Aram).
In an interview with the Turkish media outlet, actor Ali Buhara Mete noted that his character Aram has a number of prejudices, due to which he demonstrates a very strict and hostile behavior, attempting to obstruct the love between his sister and the Turkish young man.
According to the actor, when being filmed in the ‘Unfinished’, he tried to follow the example of renowned Armenian reporter and public figure, editor in chief of Agos, Hrant Dink (killed in 2007).
“My character is not like Hrant Dink and does not share his attitudes. However, Aram is following his example in terms of the speech and style. Knowing him helped me to play the role easier. Thus, I dedicate the film to Hrant Dink’s memory,” Ali Buhara Mete added.
