Third agricultural products fair to open in Yerevan
The third market of agricultural products will open in Yerevan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan told reporters at a briefing on Friday.
“The agricultural products fair will be opened in Nor Nork 1st micro-district on September 9. I think this comes to be a long-awaited event for the residents of the district as well as the farmers themselves. The fair will operate on Saturdays and Sundays,” the deputy minister noted.
Currently, two agricultural markers operate in Yerevan one in the area adjacent to Kasyan street, the other in the area next to Mashtots avenue.
To note, agricultural products fairs are aimed at creating additional opportunity for rural dwellers and farming companies to sell their own products in lively areas of the capital without middlemen, at the same time providing the city residents an opportunity to buy agricultural first-hand products.
