Harutyun Khachatryan steps down as Chairman of Armenian National Film Academy
During the regular session of the Armenian National Film Academy held on September 9, filmmaker Harutyun Khachatryan announced about his resignation from presidency of the academy.
As the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival informs in a Facebook post, the members of the Film Academy will elect a new chairman at the next session.
To remind, Mr. Khachatryan has also stepped down as the Director of the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival (GAIFF), citing heavy workload as the reason behind his decision.
He intends to run for the President of the Union of Cinematographers, with the elections scheduled on 7 October.
