Armenia sees imports, exports rise in January-July: report
In January-July 2017, the exports from Armenia totaled to $1185.1 million, indicating a 21.6 % ($210.8 million) increase compared to the same period of the past year.
According to the Government’s annual report for the period from 1 September 2016 to 30 August 2017, the imports of goods into Armenia amounted to $2161.7 million in January-July of the current year, which shows a 28.5% ($479.1) rise against the indicated period of 2016.
According to the report, the growth in imports was largely prompted by the increase in imports of intermediate (for production purposes) and capital goods.
