6th Pan-Armenian Armenia-Diaspora conference kicks off in Yerevan
The 6th Pan-Armenian Armenia-Diaspora conference, initiated by the Armenian Diaspora Ministry, will open today at Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in Yerevan.
The conference named “Mutual Trust, Unity and Responsibility” has brought together about 1500 representatives of Armenian diaspora organizations from more than 70 countries of the world. Various leaders and representatives of clergy, pan-Armenian structures and community organizations, journalists and separate individuals enjoying a high role and reputation have gathered in capital Yerevan.
The event will be attended by the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan, His Holiness Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I, high-ranking officials and spiritual leaders.
The conference comprises 3 plenary sessions and 16 topical discussion in four directions, related to the country’s economy, defense policy, politics, specifics in the light of modern challenges, regional challenges, the national security agenda, foreign policy, the elimination of the consequences of the Armenian Genocide and the task of the world-wide preservation of the Armenian identity.
