Armenia’s National Gallery to host exhibition of Polish painter Henryk Cześnik’s works
The National Gallery of Armenia will launch an exhibition titled “Dangerous Fun” dedicated to the works of Polish painter Henryk Cześnik on 5 October, the gallery administration told Panorama.am.
Henryk Cześnik’s paintings have been exhibited since early 1970s. He has taken part in numerous exhibitions both in Poland and abroad. Like many artists, he has been taken over by avant-garde and postmodernism art movements. Henryk Cześnik’s works stand out with their extreme expressiveness, sometimes reaching to grotesque. His characters are symbolic and multi-layered, with elements of surrealism, expressionism and abstract art movements.
Henryk Cześnik has studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. He is now the head of the Painting and received the title of professor in 1994.
