Armenia establishes diplomatic relations with five countries
Armenia has established diplomatic ties with five states on the 26th anniversary of its independence.
“Very symbolic! On its 26th birthday, Armenia established diplomatic relations with five countries,” foreign ministry spokesman Tigran Balayan wrote on Twitter.
As the foreign ministry reports in a released statement, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Mark Brentley, Foreign Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, signed a protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in New York City.
At the meeting that followed the signing ceremony, the FMs expressed hope that the signing of the protocol will serve as a solid basis for the establishment of ties and cooperation between the two countries.
FM Nalbandian also signed documents on establishing diplomatic ties with Palau, Micronesia, Bahamas and Central African Republic.
