Armenian weightlifters conquer gold and bronze at European Junior Championships
Armenian weightlifters have secured a gold and a bronze medal at the U17 European Weightlifting Championships underway in Pristina, Kosovo, from September 22-30.
As the National Olympic Committee reports, Armenia’s Armen Grigoryan and Rafik Harutyunyan - both competing in the 69kg weight class - won gold and bronze respectively. Grigoryan was declared champion with a total of 296kg result (134kg - small silver + 162kg -small bronze).
Harutyunyan came the third with a total result of 295kg (135kg - small gold + 160kg -fourth place).
