Truck smashes into the wall of a tunnel and overturns in downtown Yerevan
Major road accident occurred today at Heratsi street in Yerevan with a truck smashing into the wall of tunnel and overturned. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the alert was received at 06:13 am. Two fire brigades and a rescue team of special operation left for the scene.
According to initial data, “Volvo” truck smashed into the wall of the tunnel at the crossroad of Heratsi and Koryun streets, turned over onto its side, killing the driver A.A (born in 1972).
The rescuers took the corpse of the driver out of the truck. The road accident has caused a massive rush-hour traffic jam.
