Tourists welcomed at Yerevan airport with surprise gifts on International Tourism Day
Dozens of travelers received a warm welcome at Yerevan International airport from early morning as staff from the Yerevan municipality showered arriving tourists with gifts.
The municipality reported, as part of their welcome the visitors received Yerevan guidebooks, free entry tickets to Yerevan History Museum and opportunity to take “Yerevan City Tour,” maps of the capital as well as discount vouchers on visiting the city attractions.
The Head of Tourism Department at Yerevan Municipality, Gevorg Orbelyan, said the initiative is aimed at conveying Yerevan’s hospitality and warmness to the visitors as well as familiarize them with the city attraction, monuments and cultural sights.
To note, September 27 marks the World Tourism Day celebrated worldwide.
