Exhibition of Armenian-Bulgarian painter Bedig Bedrosyan’s artwork opened at National Gallery
More than ninety paintings and graphic works by Armenian-Bulgarian painter Bedig Bedrosyan named “Wharfs” was unveiled today at the National Gallery of Armenia.
The works display picturesque places and corners of Armenia, Silistra, Balchik and Dobruja, embracing artworks from family and private collections, from Sofia City Art Gallery as well as those from galleries of Silistra, Varna, Tutrakan, Pazardzhik, Dobrich and Plovdiv and the Armenian Apostolic Church of Silistra. The works include landscapes, urban landscapes and seascapes, as well as an icon and reproductions of church ornaments.
The opening ceremony was attended by Culture Minister Armen Amiryan, Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan, His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, Director of the External Relations and Protocol Department Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin, Ambassador of Bulgaria to Armenia Maria Tzotzorkova, representatives of NGOs and public figures.
The exhibition was organized at the initiative of Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) under the sponsorship of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II with the support of the Bulgarian Embassy to Armenia, Sofia City Art Gallery and National Gallery of Armenia.
The exhibition will be open from October 4 to November 3, 2017.
