Armenia’s budgetary revenues saw AMD 74 billion increase in 2017 – official
Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) has initiated reforms to meet the business community's needs, with some of the projects not completed yet, a committee official said Wednesday, summing up the achievements of the agency in the past nine months.
According to SRC Chairman Vardan Harutyunyan, the committee secured 860.5 billion AMD in tax revenues, including the VAT returns over the indicated period.
Mr. Harutyunyan also noted AMD 640.7 billion tax revenues were secured by tax authorities and AMD 219.7 billion – by customs authorities. The revenues from taxes without the VAT returns totalled to AMD 818.5 billion, which is a 8.8% or AMD 65.9 billion rise against the indicated period of 2016.
Regarding the state budget revenues, they saw more than AMD 74 billion or 9.4% increase over the past nine months.
“It is noteworthy that the growth in revenues were provided due to increasingly effective tax administration in conditions of decreased overpayment, arrears and inspections,” Mr. Harutyunyan said.
