The Czech parliamentary delegation headed by the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Milan Štěch accompanied by the Chairman of the Armenian National Assembly Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Vardan Bostanjyan visited on Wednesday Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex.
The guests laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and paid homage to the memory of the Genocide martyrs with a minute of silence.
They later visited the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute and got familiarized with the records and other documentary evidence on the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian parliament’s press service told Panorama.am.
The President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Milan Štěch left a note in the Memory Book.
Milan Štěch noted that the Armenian nation suffered numerous losses in the past and added that here, in Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, it is the history of numerous Armenians’ souls. “I want Armenia never to see such a crime, genocide and never be suppressed. Armenians are very friendly nation and they deserve to be independent and live in peace,” the President of the Senate said.
