Yerevan-bound passenger van crashes in Russia: two taken to hospital
The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia was notified on Thursday, at 7:09am that a road traffic accident had occurred on a highway in Russia, involving a Yerevan-bound passenger van.
It turned out that a Mercedes Sprinter vehicle driven by Umrshat Iskoyan (b. 1954) lost control and crashed into a streamlet on the 8km of Mineralnye Vody-Alexandrovskoye highway.
The van operated passenger transportation en route from Nizhny Novgorod to Yerevan.
16 people, including one child, were reportedly aboard the van during the accident. No casualties are reported.
As the Russian MES informed, two of the passengers Gohar Hakobyan (b. 1961) and Salvi Avetisyan (b. 1967) were hospitalized.
