Foreign investors interested in operations at Meghri Free Economic Zone
Foreign investors show interest towards the operations at Meghri Free Economic Zone at Armenia’s southern Syunik Province, in the area bordering the Islamic Republic of Iran.
At today’s meeting with Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments, Suren Karayan, the foreign businessmen noted that by conducting a research over the free economic zone they came to the conclusion that it is highly attractive in terms of making investments.
The businessmen highlighted the free economic zone can function as a corridor between Iran, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the European Union, expressing readiness to make investments in two directions – production enterprise and entertainment services.
The meeting was also attended by Armenian-Russian businessman Ara Abrahamyan.
