Tigran Sargsyan: Digitization comes to replace outdated perceptions about the economy
The digitization changes the economy, our life and a set of outdated perceptions about our public and economic arrangements, the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Armenia’s former PM Tigran Sargsyan stated at the Second Eurasian Partnership Forum held in Yerevan today.
“The issue under consideration is quite actual and linked to the existing global changes. From one side, we should adjust to those changes, from the other hand - to look into the future and avoid numerous obstacles. I hope today’s discussions will address a number of pressing concerns,” Sargsyan said.
“It is no coincidence that the presidents of the five EAEU member states instructed last December to elaborate the main directions of the digital agenda of the union. We are set to discuss the document on October 11 in Sochi,” Sargsyan added.
The Chairman of the EEC Board next noted the governments of the member states to the union continuously pay attention to the issue. In his words, the Russian cabinet has endorsed its digital transformation strategy, as other states have also announced about the launch of respective documents.
