The head of Akhalkalaki Education Resources Center Tereza Chitchyan told jnews.ge the books were distributed among 65 schools of the region. “We informed that the books were in poor condition, and the schools were in dire need of new textbooks. The problem was finally solved,” Chitchyan said.
The news outlet reminds that last time Armenian schools in Georgia’s Javakheti region received Armenia language textbooks in December 2015 that were never used due to failure to meet the requirements of the schooling process adopted by Georgian authorities. The school students had to study with books received back in 2013.
