Our position will be clear should Azerbaijan apply for membership in EAEU – deputy minister
“Azerbaijan has not applied for membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). If it happens, we will come up with a clear and simple position,” Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told reporters at a briefing on Thursday.
“The Treaty on EAEU contains a provision prohibiting even an observer status for states acting to the damage of wither other member states or the whole organization,” added the deputy minister.
In Kocharyan’s words, to speak of the economic component the blockade is nothing but a damage to a state. “With this regard, there can be no word over an observer status, not to speak about accession,” added Kocharyan.
