Carpet production decreased in Armenia
Carpet production decreased by 21% in January – August 2017 as compared to the production volumes for the indicated period in the previous year, according to the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (NSS).
According to the source, in January-August of 2016, 15.4 tons of carpets and carpet coverings have been produced in the republic, while the number is 9.1 tons for the indicated period of this year.
As to the production of cotton fabrics, for the eight months the production volumes increased twice in Armenia. In particular, in January- August 2017, 3.2 tones of cotton fabrics was manufactured in the republic against 1.6 tones - in the indicated period of last year.
