Azerbaijanis fail to hamper the work of Artsakh pavilion at St. Petersburg tourism exhibition
The Artsakh Republic was represented at the INWETEX travel and tourism exhibition for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) held from October 12-14 in St. Petersburg, Russia. As the Artsakh ministry of economy reported in a release, within three days of the functioning, the pavilion attracted great number of tourism representatives and experts interested in the country’s tourism sphere. Artsakh tourism attractiveness was displayed through disseminated booklets, information leaflets as well as the display of promotional videos about the ways to visit the country.
According to the release, on the last day of the fair the work of the pavilion was marred with an incident, provoked by a group of Azerbaijanis. Following unsuccessful efforts to stop the pavilion work through official channels, several members of the Azerbaijani delegation approached to the Artsakh pavilion and attempted to provoke tensions. The provocation was halted and troublemakers were removed from the venue of the exhibition accompanied by the security guards.
