Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting over in Geneva
The meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders is over in Geneva, a spokesman for the Armenian president said in a tweet.
“The talks are over, Aliyev left the residence of Switzerland’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva and other international organizations,” Vladimir Hakobyan tweeted.
President Sargsyan left the talks venue for the Armenian Embassy in Switzerland following the meeting, where he is due to meet with the representatives of the local Armenian community, the spokesman said in another tweet.
As reported earlier, at the initiative of the OSCE Minsk Group Co Chairs a meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents was held today at the residence of Switzerland’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva and other international organizations.
The meeting was attended by the Foreign Ministers of the two countries, Edward Nalbandyan and Elmar Mammadyarov, as well as OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Andrew Schofer (USA), Stefan Visconti (France) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev held a private meeting following the talks.
