Young Armenian boxers to compete at European Championships
Young Armenia boxers are preparing for the European Youth Boxing Championships for U18 age group scheduled for Antalya, Turkey on 20-29 October.
The Armenian U18 boxing team, led by head coach Derenik Voskanyan, has held two training camps at Tsakhkadzor and Olympavan sports and recreational complex to prepare for the tournament, the National Olympic Committee reported.
The coach said the young Armenian boxers will leave for Turkey on 19 October.
The Armenian team comprises Erik Tokhyan (49kg), Artur Bazeyan (52kg), Zhirayr Sargsyan (56kg), Armen Mashakalyan (60 kg), Benik Nikoghosyan (64 kg), Toni Galstyan (69 kg), Gor Nersisyan (75 kg), Manuk Khachatryan (91 kg) and Arman Mnatsakanyan (91 + kg).
Armenia has no representatives at 81kg weight class.
The Armenia boxers will begin their performances on 21 October.
