SunChild 7th International Environmental Festival names winning films
Closing Award Ceremony of SunChild 7th International Environmental Festival took place on October 17.
According to the press service of VivaCell-MTS, the winning films were announced in three categories of the Festival: WildLife, Environmental, Youth and Children.
International WildLife category`s winner is “Lemming, the Little Giant of the North” by Zoltan Torok, Sweden.
“When Two Worlds Collide” by Heidi Brandenburg and Mathew Orzel (USA, UK, Peru) has been named the winner of International Environmental category.
“BENU” by Steffen Oberle, Enzio Probst and Dominik Schön (Germany) won the International Youth and Children category.
The closing ceremony was followed by the screening of “Project Wild Thing” by David Bond.
83 films from all over the world were displayed in the frames of the SunChild Festival`s informational and competition program. Nine workshops and five exhibitions were organized in 17 venues of Yerevan.
During 5 days of the festival, film screenings, exhibitions and workshops were organized in AEON, NPAK, Nor Arvestanots, TUMO, #Article3 Club, BŪRO, Muraba, Media Center, Khnko Aper and Av. Isahakyan libraries, "Ilik" Experimental crafts cafe-shop, Fiction Pub and Jean-Paul Existential Café.
The SunChild International Environmental Festival`s format is very unique and first in its kind in the whole South Caucasus. The Festival has been organized since 2007 at the initiative of the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) in support of its general partner VivaCell-MTS.
