Karabakh soldier awarded posthumously
President of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic, Bako Sahakyan signed a decree on Thursday on awarding posthumously serviceman of the Artsakh Republic Defense Army's N division Tigran Khachatryan with the "For Service in Battle" medal for bravery shown during the defense of the Artsakh Republic state border, the press service of the Artsakh President’s Office reported.
To note, Artsakh Defense Army soldier identified as Tigran Armen Khachatryan (b. 1998) sustained a fatal gunshot wound due to Azerbaijani fire in one of the military bases of Karabakh Defense Army located in the northeastern direction.
As the Press Service of Artsakh Defense Ministry told Panorama.am, the incident occurred on October 19 at 15:50. A probe is underway to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
