French oncology centre opens in Armenian capital
A French centre of cancer treatment opened Friday in Yerevan, Armenia.
The honour of opening of the new medical center was given to Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and eminent French-Armenian oncologist, Dr Norbert Avetyan, Yerevan Municipality reported in a press release.
The oncology centre opened at the initiative of Norman Foundation and Dr Norbert Avetyan will provide treatment to oncologic patients in line with the European standards, meantime applying the professional methods of prominent doctor Norbert Avetyan.
Highlighting the opening of such centres in the capital city, the participants of the event noted that people suffering this serious illness will no longer have to go abroad for treatment. It was also noted that the doctor who was treating numerous patients from Armenia in France will now on conduct professional activities in Armenia.
The institute is provided with up-to-date equipment necessary to ensure high-quality medical services. The facility is also aimed at supporting vulnerable families with cancer patients, helping them in raising funds.
