Turkish reporter ridicules fans of Azeri football club Qarabag
The columnist of the Turkish Sabah newspaper, Mevlüt Tezel made a reference to the choreography made by the fans of Azerbaijan football club Qarabag at the Champions League match with Spain’s Atletico Madrid.
As Ermenihaber reports, the fans of the Azeri club formed the word “Qarabag” out of seven papers featuring its letters.
The Turkish reported ridiculed the Azerbaijani fans’ initiative in his blog, calling the choreography ‘the poorest and the most comical in the history of football’.
According to Yeniakit, this publication was subjected to serious criticism in Turkey, shortly after being removed from the pro-government newspaper’s website.
