In parallel to house renovation and reconstruction works, as well as construction of new apartment buildings, infrastructures are also being restored in Talish village of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic.

According to the press release by the country’s Ministry of Urban Development, some of the 17 apartments included in the first phase of the reconstruction and renovation project are almost ready for operation.

All the 17 detached houses being constructed as part of the project will be operated on the eve of the New Year. The second phase of the project features construction of 12 houses. The Talish men are working together with the workers to quickly complete the works and to transfer their families temporarily housed at Alashan to their native village.

Apart from the housing construction, demolishing and land smoothing works of houses destroyed still in the Artsakh liberation struggle, as well as useless buildings are currently underway in the village.

Some 10 construction companies are involved in construction and restoration works in the village.

An internal water supply network has already been completed in Talish, with all the villagers provided with clean drinking water.

There are also plans to reconstruct the highway leading to the village, with construction of retaining walls and sidewalks to be built along the road.

Apart from the mentioned works, the construction of the community center and events house are hurtling to its end, with the construction of a kindergarten underway in the village.

“Therefore, Talish will have numerous red ribbon cutting ceremonies till the end of the year,” the ministry said.
