4.8 magnitude earthquake hits Georgia, 59km from Tbilisi
A 4.8 magnitude earthquake has stuck Georgia today, Agenda.ge reported, citing the information of the Seismic Monitoring Centre of Ilia State University. According to the report, the earthquake hit Georgia’s south-west at 2:14pm local time, with its epicentre 59km away from capital Tbilisi.
According to the source, the nearest dwellings in Mamishlari Village was located three kilometers from the epicenter of the earthquake. The closest town, Dmanisi, was locaed 14 kilometers away. No victims or damage have been reported.
