Armenian Men’s Chess Team wins over Greece at European Championships
Round 2 of the European Championships took place in Greece on Sunday, where the Armenian Men’s Team defeated the second team of Greece with 2,5:1,5. As the Chess Federation of Armenia reported, Armenian GM Levon Aronian and Gabriel Sargsyan claimed victories, Hrant Melkumyan played a draw, while Sergey Movsesyan suffered a defeat.
After two rounds, 7 national teams with 4 points lead the table. The Armenian team will face Croatia in the next round slated for Monday.
Meanwhile, the Armenian women’s team suffered defeat from Ukraine 1:3 and will face Serbia round.
