Moscow Tretyakov Gallery to host exhibition of Martiros Saryan artworks
An exhibition of renowned Armenian painter Martiros Saryan’s art pieces will launch at the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow on 15 November as part of the Days of Armenian Culture in Russia.
According to the gallery’s official website, the exhibition features some 30 paintings created mostly in the 1910s, when the artist had already gained great experience and reputation.
The works made by the master while travelling to the Middle Eastern countries and on the motives of their memories will also go on display at the exhibition.
The exhibition includes paintings from the collections of the National Gallery of Armenia, Martiros Saryan House-Museum and Tretyakov Gallery.
The event will run until 14 January 2018.
