David Nebel: I am looking forward to my concert!
Famous violinist David Nebel will perform on November 9 with the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia, headed by conductor Sergey Smbatyan within the framework of the 5th Khachaturian International Festival. The concert will take place at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.
David Nebel sent a video message ahead of his concert. “Next week I will be coming for my very first time to Armenia and I am looking forward to it! I will have the great opportunity to perform with the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia with fantastic maestro Sergey Smbatyan. I will be performing Beethoven Violin Concerto followed by Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.6. Please join, I would be very happy to see you there. Take care and see you on November 9,” Nebel noted in his message.
David Nebel, born 1996 in Zürich, started to play violin at the age of five. His technical talent and musicality became apparent very early. A young violinist with promising perspective («Wunderkind mit Zukunftsperspektive») was the headline in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung which reported on David’s first solo concert with the Camerata Zürich. He was 9 and played Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. In 2009 David won the first price (with honors) of the Swiss Youth Music Competition and gave his first recital at the Tonhalle Zürich.
David is a founding member of the LGT Young Soloists ensemble, and is performing as soloist as well as accompanist at its numerous concert tours in Europe and Asia.
To note, the 5th Khachaturian International Festival is held under the high patronage of the President of RA Serzh Sargsyan. It is implemented thanks to the joint efforts of the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia (General Partner of the Orchestra – VivaCell-MTS), with the support of the Ministry of Culture of RA, the “Khachaturian” Foundation, European Foundation for Support of Culture.
