Wine production volumes increase, vodka volumes decrease in Armenia January-September 2017
According to the data released by Armenia’s National Statistical Service (NSS), in January-September of 2017, 5 872.6 thousand liters of wine was produced in Armenia, which indicates 36.7% increase to compare with the same period of the previous year.To note, in January-September of 2016, 4 295.9 thousand liters of wine was produced in the republic.
As the data shows, the production volumes of champagne-wines rose by 11.4%, amounting to 357.5 thousand liters.
The beer production volumes also increased in the mentioned period. In January-September 17 766.8 thousand liters of beer was produced in the republic, thus increasing by 10.9 %.
The NSS data shows that vodka and vodka liqueur totaling to 4 082.2 thousand liters was produced in Armenia in the first nine months of 2017, decreasing by 28.2% to compare with the same period of the previous year.
In January-September of the current year, ՝ 876.7 thousand liters of whiskey was produced in Armenia, decreasing by 19 % compared to the same period of 2016.
