CEC: Voter turnout in local elections 50.6%
243,335 voters turned out at polling stations in Sunday’s municipal elections as of 20:00 local time, which is 50.6% of total number of registered voters, according to the Central Election Commission (CEC).
To note, local elections were held on Sunday in 69 communities of Armenia, including in Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, Shirak, Syunik, Vayots Dzor, and Tavush marzes.
The higher turnout was recorded in Shnogh – 74.34%, Areni - 71.84%, Qajaran - 70.15%, Yenokavan - 78.33%.
