Armenian FM, Israeli Knesset Speaker discussed issues of deepening and expanding the inter-parliamentary relations
Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who arrived in Israel on an official visit, met on Monday with Yuli (Yoel) Edelstein, the Speaker of the Knesset.
As the press department at the ministry of foreign affairs reported, the Knesset leader emphasized that Knesset is ready to extend full support to a comprehensive development of relations with friendly Armenia.
Thanking for the reception Minister Nalbandian passed to the head of the Knesset the greetings and best wishes of the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the invitation to visit Yerevan.
The interlocutors highly assessed the effective cooperation established between the two parliaments and the activities of the friendship groups.
Minister Nalbandian and Speaker Edelstein touched upon a number of issues of the Armenian-Israeli relations agenda, discussed the issues of deepening and expanding the inter-parliamentary relations, cooperation in the framework of international organizations.
Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Speaker of Parliament of Israel exchanged views on a number of urgent regional issues.
Touching upon the issue of Knesset's recognition of the Armenian Genocide, Yuli Edelstein noted that his point of view about the importance of recognition is well-known and he has had many opportunities to express it.
