Armenian FM’s visit to Israel to promote bilateral ties to new level – analyst
Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian’s visit to Israel will mark a breakthrough in the diplomatic ties between the two states, an Armenian analyst said Tuesday.
“The mistake, omission made in the relations of the two states in the past 25 years will be corrected,” Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Arman Navasardyan told a news conference in Yerevan.
He informed Armenian FM and the Israeli Knesset Speaker have agreed to deepen the bilateral ties in political and other spheres, as well as on the sidelines of the international organizations.
Expert on Israeli issues, Head of the Political Studies Department of the Noravank Foundation, Karen Veranyan in his turn said the visit opens up a great potential to boost bilateral cooperation, with both sides highly interested in the visit and the meetings on its agenda.
“Nalbandian’s visit to Israel is conducted on the prime ministerial level of that country. This enables us to conclude that the agreements and talks possible at official meetings and at backstage discussions can mark a brand new stage in the Armenian-Israeli relations,” the expert said.
