Baku resumes anti-Iranian propaganda days after Aliyev’s visit to Iran – analyst
“Only a few days have passed since the Azerbaijani president gave his strong assurances Baku is ready to deepen ties with Tehran at a meeting with his Iranian counterpart and Iran’s Supreme Leader. However an emergence of tensions between the relations of Saudi Arabia and Iran was enough for Azerbaijan to immediately returned to its key mission, which is in this case to fully take up Saudi’s anti-Iranian propaganda and, according to some Persian sources, to make offensive comments on Iranian religious representatives,” Expert on Iranian studies, Armen Israyelyan said in a port on Facebook.
“This comes when during the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between APA Azerbaijani media outlet and ISNA Iranian news agency, APA’s director called on the Iranian media representatives to regularly touch upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with pro-Azerbaijani views,” he detailed.
