State Service for Food Safety suspends operation of meat processing company
The State Service for Food Safety of the Armenian Ministry of Agriculture has suspended the operation of a meat processing company based in Yerevan, Armenia as part of its monitoring activities.
According to the service, an inspection of the “Ed Meat” LLC revealed a set of breaches of food hygiene and sanitation standards. Moreover, the company failed to conduct a laboratory study of the meat and meat products on microbiological indicators.
The director of the company committed to bring the production process and hygiene conditions in line with the requirements of the law on “Food Safety”, with a deadline set to eliminate all the violations.
