105 units of equipment provided within the state program of leasing agricultural machinery
"SME Investments" Universal Credit Organization has financed 70 investment projects over the past year, amounting to 3 billion AMD on affordable conditions. The respective data were presented to the Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan, who is also a board member of "SME Investments" UCO.
It was noted at the meeting that in total 105 units of agricultural machinery have been provided to farmers within the financial lease of agricultural machinery.
To remind, government adopted the state support program of leasing agricultural machinery in March with the main purpose to allow broader access to affordable machinery through leasing arrangements, in particular. The ministry of agriculture was allocated money to subsidize interest rates for leased machinery and equipment. The agricultural machinery can be purchased on an advance payment of 20% and at a 2% annual leasing rate with a maturity period of 3-10 years, depending on the type of machinery.
As the release of the ministry reads, during the meeting reference were made to the agreement signed between "SME Investments" UCO CJSC and "Russian Direct Investment Fund" to launch an Armenian-Russian investment fund, which will be a joint investment platform to realize investment projects in strategic sectors of the economy of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the source, within the frames of bilateral cooperation the "Russian Direct Investment Fund" has shown interest toward number of ambitious investment projects.
