Armenian athletes participate at the World Sambo Championship
The 17th World Sambo Championships will be held from November 10 to 12 in Sochi, Russia, attended by record number 1000 athletes from 93 countries. As the National Olympic Committee reported, the Armenian delegation headed by the Chairman of the country’s Sambo Federation Levon Hayrapetyan left for Sochi on November 8.
According to the source, our team is represented by 15 athletes, World champions Vachik Vardanyan, Mavrik Nasibyan, two-time European champion Tigran Kirakosyan, vice champion Ernest Hayrapetyan, bronze medalist Maksim Manukyan among them.
