7.2 magnitude earthquake hits Ira-Iraqi border, felt in the territory of Armenia
An earthquake of 7.2 magnitude has struck 33 kilometers north to Sarpol-e Zahab town at the Iran-Iraq border at about 22:18 (GMT 18:18) n November 12, Armenia’s National Service for Seismic Protection at Ministry of Emergency Situations reported, adding the geographical coordinates of the epicenter were northern latitude 34.750 and eastern longitude 45.920.
The epicenter of the earthquake was on the depth of 20 kilometers. In the epicenter, the magnitude of the earthquake was registered 9-10 points. According to preliminary data, the quake was felt in the southern and central parts of Armenia.
