Armenian football team beats Cyprus 3-2 in friendly
The Armenian national football team beat Cyprus 3-2 in a friendly match hosted by the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium on Monday.
Armenian footballer Hayk Ishkhanyan scored the opener in the 17th minute. Varazadat Haroyan doubled the score in the 38th minute before Konstantinos Laifis scored the first goal for Cyprus.
In the second half, Armenia’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored from a penalty. At the end of the match, Cyprus scored its second goal, which however did not stop Armenia from nailing down a 3-2 win, after defeating Belarus 4-1 last Thursday.
