Armenia may become a bridge between EU, Russia - President of the Dutch Senate
President of the Senate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Ankie Broekers-Knol believes the Armenia-EU new comprehensive agreement will be successfully signed in two weeks to contribute to the country’s education sphere and strengthening of security. Ankie Broekers-Knol’s remarks came today at a joint press conference with Armenia’s National Assembly Speaker Ara Babloyan in Yerevan.
“It is a great honor for me to be received at Armenia’s National Assembly. Despite the fact I am visiting first time your country and have not yet seen much, it seems a beautiful country to me. I am impressed with the history of this ancient state, especially the fact that Armenia was the first to adopt Christianity as a state religion. This is remarkable year as we mark the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relation between Armenia and the Netherlands which is about the strongest tires and friendly relations between our states,” the Dutch official stated.
She next pointed to the unique geographical location of Armenia allows the country to become a bridge between EU and Russia.
