Armenian billionaire Samvel Karapetyan named the President of Moscow Ararat FC
Armenian businessman, the President of Tashir Group Companies was elected the President of Moscow Ararat FC, while co-founder of “Avilon” company Kamo Avagimyan appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors at the club.
Russian news outlet Life.ru reports, citing the club press statement, Poghos Galstyan will serve as the deputy director of the club.
To note, Ararat FC which represents the Armenian diaspora in Russia, was founded in 2017 with the support of the Armenian Youth Association of Moscow. In May, the club received the Russian Football Union license for participation in the 2017–18 Russian Professional Football League. The team currently competes in Russia’s Second Division and tops the table of the central region.
