MES: Powerful cyclone to strike Armenia on November 22
Hydrometeorological service of Armenia’s ministry of emergency situations (MES) reports that Armenia will be under the influence of a powerful cyclone zone from early morning of November 22 with precipitations predicted in all regions of the republic. According to the source, precipitations in the form of snow are expected in Shirak, Gegharkunik, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Lori, Tavush and Syunik mountainous regions. Snowstorm low visibility and clear ice on the roads of the mentioned sections are expected.
The ministry warns the drivers to use those roads using exclusively winter tires.
The release next reads that all interstate and republican roads of Armenia are open as of November 21.
According to the information received from the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia Stepantsminda - Larsi highway is open for all types of vehicles.
