All roadways trafficable in Armenia
Certain highways across the territory of Armenia are partly covered with clear ice as of 9:30am November 23, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
According to the source, there are no closed or impassable roadways in the country.
Earlier it was reported that precipitation is forecast for most parts of Armenia on 23-24 November, taking the form of snow in mountainous regions and sleet – in foothills.
Yerevan-Sevan, Aparan-Spitak, Sevan-Hrazdan, Sisian-Gorayk highways, as well as Hrazdan town, Chayni, Tigranashen and Dilijan turns are partly covered with clear ice.
It is reportedly snowing in Yeghegnadzor, Jermuk (Vayots Dzor region), Kajaran (Syunik region), Charentsavan and Yeghvard (Kotayk region) towns.
The ministry warns the drivers to use exclusively winter tires.
Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department reports that Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
