Armenia-EU mutual cooperation to develop and deepen further – Markarov
The Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement signed between the EU and Armenia on Friday will come to supplement the relations developed between the parties over the past years, political scientist Alexander Markarov told Panorama.am when asked to comment on the signing of the agreement.
“Thus, it [Agreement] comes to establish a new format for the relations between Armenia and EU,” Markarov noted, adding the agreement will turn into a detailed action plan. “By 2020 we will ses a more developed and deepened relations between Armenia and EU, as envisaged by the document in terms of launching a comprehensive cooperation frameworks in different sectors,” explained the political scientist.
Speaking of the final declaration adopted in the scope of the Eastern Partnership Summit, namely the provision related to the Karabakh conflict, the expert pointed to the fact that the international community once again highlighted its acceptance of the existing format to settle the conflict which is conducted under the auspices of the Minsk Groups Co-Chairmanship.
The other noticeable circumstance is the reference to the three principles of the international law serving as basis for the conflict settlement.
