Clear ice observed on Sevan, Sisian roads and Vardenyats pass
Armenia’s Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies told Panorama.am that as of 17.00 November 25 all interstate and republican roads in the territory of Armenia are passable, no precipitation is predicted.
According to the source, clear ice is observed on certain sections of roads of Sevan and Sisian regions as well as Vardenyats pass, where the road crews maintain all-day control over, carrying out cleaning works with chemical salt and sand.
The drivers are strictly recommended to use exclusively winter tires when driving in the mentioned regions.
Meanwhile, Armenia’s ministry of emergency situations (MES) recalls the report by the Roads Department at Georgia’s ministry of infrastructure, saying Stepantsminda-Lars is open for all types of vehicles.
